African American Leukemia patients have an urgent need for bone marrow transplants, but don’t have enough donors on the registry. The current total U. S. African American population is over 40 million. There are over 2.1 million diagnosed with some form of Leukemia. Only 685,000 are on the Bone Marrow Registry with only 5% - 10% actual matches.
